Sandbox

You will build: Make something beautiful.

The picture produced by the shader in the lesson "Sandbox"
The target picture. In the lesson you write the shader that draws it, and a match bar shows how close you are.

A blank canvas. Everything on this site is available: uv, time, aspect, hash/vnoise/fbm if you paste them in. Your code is saved in this browser.

Debug with print(): write print("d = ", d); in frag, then hover (or click to pin) a pixel of the output. The value for that pixel shows next to its colour.

Try it in your own language

The lesson is written once and shown in every language. Pick yours: Unity (Built-in), Unity (URP), Unreal, Shadertoy / WebGL, OpenGL (LWJGL, raylib), three.js, GameMaker, LÖVE (Lua), Godot, Apple (iOS, macOS), WebGPU / Bevy.
